Scott Theodore, O.D.

Scott joined the optometric team at Highline in 2025.

Dr. Theodore emphasizes preventive eye care and values building long-term relationships with every patient he serves.

Dr. Theodore was born and raised in Southern California alongside his three older siblings. An avid athlete growing up, he enjoyed volleyball, soccer, and cross-country. His path toward optometry began unexpectedly in the classroom, when he noticed that the projector screen appeared blurry. Scott soon learned he had astigmatism and began wearing glasses. That first experience with eye care sparked his interest in optometry, inspiring him to work and shadow in multiple practices to gain firsthand experience in the field.

Following in his family’s academic footsteps, Scott attended California State University, Long Beach, where he earned a Bachelor of Science in Mathematics with a minor in Chemistry. He then pursued his Doctor of Optometry degree at the Southern California College of Optometry at Marshall B. Ketchum University. During his extensive externships at Hu Hu Kam Indian Health Service in Arizona, Lemoore Naval Air Station in California, and Lawton Indian Health Service in Oklahoma, he developed a strong foundation in ocular disease management. His growing passion for specialty contact lenses led him to receive both the CooperVision Contact Lens Award and the GP Lens Institute Clinical Excellence Award upon graduation. Dr.  is deeply committed to helping patients achieve their best vision and comfort—especially those with complex conditions—through the use of specialty contact lenses.

In 2023, Scott relocated to Colorado, where he enjoys life with his wife, Alyssa, and their two dogs: Maple, a chocolate lab, and Butter, a golden retriever. Outside the clinic, he loves baking, cooking, learning new languages, and reading non-fiction. A lifelong athlete, he is now focused on marathon running and Ironman competitions.
