Laser Treatment for Post-Op Cataracts
After cataract surgery, some people develop cloudiness on the posterior lens capsule, which can make vision blurry again.
How it works: A painless laser procedure called a YAG laser capsulotomy creates a small opening in the cloudy capsule, restoring the clarity that was achieved after cataract surgery.
What to expect: It’s quick (a few minutes), done in our office, and there’s no downtime. Most people notice an immediate improvement in vision.
Laser Treatment for Glaucoma (to lower eye pressure)
Glaucoma is a condition where in some cases high pressure is present that can damage the optic nerve. There are a number of laser procedures that can help to control the pressure.
What to expect: These are outpatient procedures, often painless, and take 10-20 minutes. They help lower eye pressure and may reduce the need for medication. Regular check-ups are still needed.
